NEWTOWN, PA- The Lady Centurions soccer team lost their home opener on Saturday, falling to the CCBC-Essex by a score of 9-0.
Bucks, playing shorthanded, held their own in the first half after falling behind 2-0 just 10 minutes into the game. Trailing 4-0 at the break, fatigue set in and Bucks let in 5 more goals to end the game. The Lady Centurions were led by Freshmen goalkeeper, Jenna Ferri (Neshaminy High) who recorded 14 saves in the game.
CCBC-Essex improves to 1-0 on the season, while Bucks falls to 0-3.
The Lady Centurions will return to action on Tuesday, September 8th at 3:00PM as they host Region XIX opponent, Raritan Valley Community College.
