Men’s Soccer Set 2022 Tryout Dates (Updated 8/11/22)

NEWTOWN, Pa. – Head Men's Soccer Coach, Justin Burroughs has announced the Centurions will open their 2022 campaign with 2 weeks of preparatory workouts before preseason tryouts. The captains will also hold captions practices throughout the summer on Tuesday evenings from 5-7:30pm. Captains' practices are open to all incoming, current and alumni players (bring a water bottle).

The two weeks before tryouts, Bucks will hold workouts for all prospective student-athletes starting on Monday, August 1st and continuing through Thursday the 4th (M-TH) and Monday, August 8th through Thursday, August 11th (M-TH) from 5:30-7:30PM on the soccer field.

PRESEASON TRYOUTS will begin on Monday, August 15th. Tryouts will all be a single session on Monday at 4:00PM and double sessions held Tuesday through Friday starting at 10:00AM and the second session starting at 4:00PM at the soccer field on the Newtown Campus (park at the bottom of Lot "S1"). Preseason will run August 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th.

The Bucks men's soccer program is looking to defend its Eastern States Athletic Conference title for the 2022 season. The team will bring back a few star players from last year team and bringing in a excellent recruiting class. "We are excited to get back to work this season as a shorten season last year," stated Coach Burroughs, "we still would like to add a few more players that can contribute right away to our continued success." Men's soccer only lost one game against USCAA opponents last season.

All potential student-athletes are asked to bring a water bottle (water will be provided), running shoes, soccer cleats and a physical. The eligibility paperwork will be done online at IMLEAGUES website and physical forms can be found at: Athletic Physical Form

IMPORTANT DATES

• Athletic Orientation: TBD (virtual)
• Preseason Tryouts: Monday (4PM only) and Tuesday-Friday, August 16th-19th (double sessions 10AM & 4PM)
• Alumni Game: Saturday, August 20th (12PM)
• Normal practice: Monday, August 22nd (3:30PM)
• First day of class: Wednesday, August 24th
• First Game: August 30th, 2:30PM away at RCSJ-Gloucester
