Newtown, PA. - The Bucks men's basketball team has begun preparation for the second half of the season.
The fall semester presented the men's basketball team plenty of challenges. The program came back off a year off (for Covid) so the team was made up 95% new players to go along with first year head coach, Ryan Charity. The team welcomed a back former player, Somah Slewion, as an assistant coach to bring his experience to the players. Both coaches had college playing experience as Coach Charity (Cabrini) and Coach Slewion (Gwynedd Mercy) know what it will take for the program to advance to the next level.
"We started slow but happy that we showed great improvement during the fall" commented Coach Charity, "I'm looking forward to continuing our progress and looking forward to adding a few players as well to strengthen our depth." The Centurions finished the fall semester with 3-6 overall record but are 3-2 in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and 2-1 in the Eastern States Athletic Conference. First year player, Willie Seabrooks led the team in scoring with over 15 points per game.
The Centurions play next on Tuesday, January 11th as they travel to play Delaware County Community College, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00pm.
