Volleyball Defeats Luzerne

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Lady Centurions Volleyball team defeated Luzerne 3-0 on Thursday night. The first set was close as Bucks tried to find their footing but would eventually tie Luzerne at 24 and score the game point to take the win 26-24. Set two was a more decisive victory as the Lady Centurions won 25-10. The Trailblazers showed some more effort in the third set but Bucks proved too much taking the 25-22 final set and match victory. Breana Jackson assisted in the victory with 10 kills as Amie Richert provided 11 assists and 4 service aces. Angie Paniagua had 6 kills and 9 digs as Ashley Becker recorded 9 assists and 4 service aces. "Great first effort from this young team. We have a lot to work on but I'm very excited for the season!" responded Head Coach Stephanie Recklau. 

Luzerne falls to 0-1. 

Bucks improves to 1-0. 

The Lady Centurions will continue their season on Thursday September 8th as they host the Mustangs of Montgomery County Community College in another EPAC matchup at 7:00 pm.
