NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Women's basketball team hosted Northampton Community College on Saturday afternoon. Although they fared better than the last meeting against the Spartans in December the Lady Centurions couldn't find enough to match them. Bucks would hold Northampton to just 15 points in the first quarter as both teams got off to slow starts. Trailing 32-10 at half the Lady Centurions were playing to prove they had improved since the first half of the season and they showed it. Bucks would muster up 12 points in the second doubling their total from their December defeat at Northampton. Recent addition Emily Reinoehl would score 4 points, have 3 rebounds and 1 assist in her debut. Lavender Nambo would lead the team in points with 6 and rebounds with 8. Final score Northampton 88, Bucks 22.
The Spartans improve to 14-5 overall, 11-3 in the region and 7-1 in the conference.
The Lady Centurions fall to 3-17 overall, 0-12 in the region and 0-8 in the conference.
Bucks returns to action next Saturday as they travel to Del Tech Stanton for a 1:00 tip-off.
