VINELAND, NJ.- The Men's basketball team traveled to Cumberland County College on Tuesday. In stunning fashion the Centurions captured victory over a Garden State Athletic Conference opponent for the first time since joining the NJCAA in 2012. The game would be tightly contested in the first half as the score was tied at 30 heading into halftime. With about six minutes left in the contest Bucks would make a 14-5 run and take the lead 73-64 before defeating the Dukes 81-76 breaking their six game winning streak. Kevin Raymond would lead the team in scoring putting up 23 points and added 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Somah Slewion would have a day as well adding to Raymond's effort with 22 points of his own, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
The Dukes drop to 14-10 overall and 13-7 in the conference.
The Centurions improve to 9-14 overall and 8-13 in the conference.
Bucks will return to action on Saturday February 11th as they host Northampton Community College at 2:00 pm.
