NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Bucks County Community College Men's Basketball team hosted Lehigh Carbon Community College on Tuesday night. The two teams had met previously during the first semester in a contest that saw Lehigh Carbon victorious. That night saw Kevin Raymond lead the Centurions in scoring with 23 but it wasn't enough as the Cougars DJ Brown scored 25 of his own and had plenty of bench support in a 58-44 route. Tonight's contest was much different as Bucks commanded the lead from the start and remained poised throughout both halves. The Centurions would take a 37-28 lead into halftime. Everyone played a part in contributing to the success of the team tonight as LaQuan Alston scored 11 points and Jeremiah Alston who had an excellent night from three-point range scored 22. Freshman Somah Slewion had a career night going 17-18 and totaling 39 points. Final score Bucks 86, Lehigh Carbon 71.
The Cougars fall to 11-15 overall, 11-8 in the region and 9-6 in the conference.
The Centurions improve to 7-13 overall, 6-12 in the region and 6-10 in the conference.
Bucks next travels to Rowan College at Gloucester County on Thursday February 2nd for a 6:00 pm tip-off.
