Fravel Steps Down as Baseball Coach

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Baseball head coach Rob Fravel has resigned his position at Bucks County Community College to pursue other opportunities. Assistant Athletic Director, Justin Burroughs will take over in the interim until a permanent replacement can be found.

Coach Fravel took was originally hired as an assistant coach in 2015 and stepped up to head the program just a week before the season started when the then head coach stepped down. He compiled a 14-54 overall record in his three-year stint as the Centurions leader and was 7-34 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. He was hired just before the start of the 2015 season. His best season came during the 2016 campaign with a 9-17 record which included 4 Region XIX wins. Multiple players have committed to continue their playing careers at several institutions.

Fravel mentored our first player to an All-EPAC team with Justin Holz receiving honorable mention 2016. "Rob took over a program in turmoil. He has been instrumental in moving our team in a positive direction and improved the culture of the baseball program," commented Assistant Athletic Director and "We will all miss him and are truly thankful for everything he has given to the program".

The baseball program will be going into their 7th season in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference of Region XIX of the NJCAA. It is one of the top regions in the country for baseball.

A search is underway for Fravel's replacement.
